Apostle Sherman L. Shelton, Sr. was born and raised in the city of New Orleans. A 1972 graduate of Joseph S. Clark Senior H. S., he received a B. S. Degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans in 1978. In 1972, Apostle Sherman began a part-time job with UPS, which resulted in a 27 year career of which 25 years were in management. While working at UPS he was ordained and became the Pastor of Firehouse Ministries. Within 5 years, Apostle Sherman resigned his position at UPS to pursue a full time career in the ministry in 2000. Among his many talents, Apostle Sherman is a powerful preacher, scholarly teacher, accomplished worship leader, creative businessman, admired father and husband and licensed Real Estate Professional.

He is the founder of Gatekeepers N. O. W., a
men’s organization. He has
taken his Church, that owned nothing, to having $600,000.00 dollars in
assets.
Apostle Sherman is married to Prophet Corrine Shelton who co-leads the ministry with him. They have been married since 1976 and have three adult children, Sherman Jr., Shana and Stephen. He is a proud grandfather of Shayne and a proud father-in-law of Anya who is married to Sherman Jr. Apostle Sherman has traveled extensively in his careers and ministry. His greatest desire is to see God’s people obtain their potential. His gifting is a positive message to men and women to be more than average. |
